IIUI HOLDS MEETING OF APEX COMMITTEE FOR ONLINE TEACHING / LEARNING

A meeting of the Apex committee for online teaching and learning was held at council hall. It was chaired by Vice President Academics, Professor Dr. Ayaz Afsar and attended by Vice President Female Campus, Prof. Dr. Farkhanda Zia, Deans of the Faculties, Director Examination, Director Academics, Incharge IT and other Officers while it was also attended by the participants through weblink.

The committee reviewed the Mid-Term Examination for spring 2021and expressed satisfaction on successful completion of mid-term examinations despite covid-19 challenges. The committee also reviewed newly designed Teacher Evaluation and Course Evaluation forms. Online course external audit mechanism was discussed and teams were developed in this regard.

Vice President Academics emphasized on training for faculty members to enable them to use students’ support system efficiently. He also highlighted the importance of course and teacher evaluation at the end of semester for improvement in the next semesters.

Incharge IT Department briefed the committee about the functioning of LMS (Learning Management System) and gave further suggestions. Feedback from student’s portal to address their issues and queries were also discussed before the committee.

Deans of the faculties were asked to think about developing strategic plan of their respective faculties while a workshop will be conducted after Eid Ul Fitr in this regard. In the end the committee agreed upon that the mode of teaching / examination will remain online till further guidelines issued by the Government.
