IIUI Holds its First Decade Alumni Dinner

The dinner was organized to strengthen the alumni-university relationship, to encourage and support alumni in promoting the university’s image and Islamic legacy, and to provide a platform for alumni to exchange experiences and have good times together. The chief guest was Prof. Dr. Ayaz Afsar, Vice President (Academics).

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Ayaz emphasized President IIUI’s emphasis on the Alumni Office’s importance in the new strategic plan (2022-2026) and the Alumni Office’s proactive approach to dealing with alumni-related matters. He emphasized the alumni’s achievements and landmarks in various professions. He added that the purpose of the alumni gathering is to strengthen ties between alumni and International Islamic University Islamabad.

On the occasion, Alumni introduced themselves to all attendees at the event. Pir Sabir Shah (Senator/Ex-Chief Minister KPK), Shoaib Shaheen (President Islamabad Bar Council), Mr. Kamal Mehmood Amjad Mian (Managing Director Fast Cables Limited), Prof. Dr Humayun Abbas Dar (Director General Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance, Cambridge United Kingdom), Ms. Syeda Fowzia Jallal (Director Law, Council of Islamic Ideology), Ms. Faiza Usama (I.T. Expert, Canada), and Ms. Shazia Zafar (Civil Judge) were the some renowned IIUI Alumni. They reflected on their time at IIUI, praising the cross-cultural bonds formed between teachers and students and the university’s impact on their ability to learn about Islamic values and other important life skills. The event was filled with laughter and positive vibes from alumni and hearing their experiences about their time at IIUI and how they were progressing now.

They emphasized that IIUI has established itself as a well-established educational hub in the country, with many faculties and programmes developed to serve a rapidly growing market.

The evening was a huge success, and it was inspiring to meet over 80 alumni and hear how the university has helped them advance in their careers and lives. They stated that this event demonstrates how much IIUI values and respects its graduates. They also emphasized the significance of hosting such gatherings to maintain links between IIUI and its alumni, who have already demonstrated their abilities, professionalism, efficacy, and efficiency in the industry.
