The 6th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, President IIUI.
The meeting took place in the Council Hall of the Administration Block and was attended by BASR members, including internal faculty representatives. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (A&F) / Academics, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia Ul Haq, Director General, IRI, Dr. Muhammad Amir, Director ORIC, and Dr. Suheel Abdullah, Secretary BASR, Directorate of Graduate Studies (DGS), IIUI.
During the session, the board thoroughly reviewed and evaluated research synopses from various faculties, including the Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Computing & Information Technology, Faculty of Shariah & Law, Faculty of Languages & Literature, the International Institute of Islamic Economics, and the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. Following detailed deliberations, the board issued necessary recommendations and instructions to maintain high research standards and uphold academic integrity.
Prof. Dr. Shuja emphasized the importance of rigorous research and robust quality assurance in postgraduate studies, reaffirming IIUI’s commitment to academic excellence.
