The 92nd meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) was held here at the new campus of university.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Rector IIUI / Chairperson Board of Governors of the University.
The BoG chair and the members approved the financial year 2024-25 budget as well as recommendations of the academic council on certain academic matters. This BoG has taken place after almost 15 months and, therefore, had to cover a sunstantial range of agenda items. These included an appraisal of the implementation of the Supreme Court judgement as well as the endorsement of the three previously held promotion-related selection boards. The board also approved the budget and the recommendations from the Finance and Planning Committee meeting, along with the actions proposed by the Academic Council.
These, along with other significant operational matters, were thoroughly discussed to ensure the university’s smooth functioning and strategic development. It was resolved during the meeting that the remaining agenda items would be addressed in subsequent meetings.
