IIUI Holds 103rd Meeting of Selection Board

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) convened its 103rd Selection Board for two days to deliberate on key academic matters and appointments. The meeting was chaired by the President of IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, while Vice President (Research and Enterprise), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, served as the Secretary of the Board.

The Board comprised eminent members including Honourable Justice Syed Muhammad Anwar, Senior Aalim Judge of the Federal Shariat Court; Prof. Dr. Sadia Nadeem, Dean and Head of the FAST School of Management; Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmed of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan; and Prof. Dr. Tasawar Hayat, Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences at Quaid-i-Azam University.

The proceedings of the meeting focused on the Faculty of Shariah and Law, the Department of Islamic Arts and Architecture, and the Department of English. During the sessions, the President highlighted that the university leadership is working in line with its new strategic plan to ensure academic growth and excellence. He further underlined that clearing the backlog of all pending selection boards would remain the top priority of the university.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed reaffirmed that the principles of transparency and merit will be strictly observed in all matters, adding that the current reforms reflect the university’s firm commitment to upholding academic standards and institutional integrity. As Secretary of the Board, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed particularly praised the efforts of Director QAD, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Ellahi, who acted as observer and Director HR, Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai, whose dedicated efforts ensured the successful conduct of the Board. He expressed gratitude to the Deans and chairs of relevant faculties and subject experts from various universities who attended the board while also lauding the support extended by officials from QAD, HR, Meeting Section and Protocol & Public Relations.
