In the continuation of School Adoption plan of IIUI’s education department under community outreach, the committee of female faculty members including Dr. Munazza Mahmood Assistant Professor, Dr. Zarina Akhter Assistant Professor and Ms. Humaira Akram Teaching and Research Associate, visited Government Girls High School Khayaban-e-Sir Syed Sector 1, Rawalpindi for discussing department’s mission with the Principal and to further conduct need assessment.
After a discussion with the Principal, Madam Roohi Yasmeen, the committee decided to include; Elementary level teachers as the target trainees, Mathematics and Science subject for content training. Furthermore, area of training will be based on the concurrent need analysis of academic planner i.e. test construction, micro teaching, lesson planning, teaching aids etc. and trainings will be held on monthly basis. The principal acknowledged the efforts and cooperation of Department of Education in the promotion of community outreach.
