Leaderships of International Islamic University, Islamabad and Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS) have discussed bilateral cooperation and vowed to see steps to have MoUs of mutual cooperation.
It happened during the visit of President, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh to the Law Department of Lahore University of Management Science (LUMS), where he also joined a closing ceremony of a course organized by the department.
IIUI President was accompanied by Dr. Muhmamd Munir, Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs and Director General of the Sharia Academy of the University, and the Head of the Law Department, IIUI, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed.
Upon arrival, Dr. Al-Draiweesh was received by Vice-President of LUMS Prof. Dr. Matlin and a number of faculty officials, professors and organizers.
After a tour around the Faculty of Law at LUMS and an orientation and briefing about the university by the Vice President Dr. Matlin, certificates distributed in the closing ceremony among the course participants.
On the occasion, exchange of souvenirs also took place between IIUI and LUMS officials. Participants of the course expressed great pleasure and termed it as a useful activity.IIUI President thanked LUMS officials for hospitality and warm welcome. Dr. Muhammad Munir, in his speech on the occasion praised the course and also apprised the audience about the scope and activities of IIUI’s Shariah Academy and Faculty of Shariah and Law. At the end, IIUI President also presented his book on Pakistan- Saudi Arabia ties to Vice President LUMS.
