Dawah Centre for Women (DCW) International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized a three-day summer camp for the kids of university officials at New Campus.
According to details during the three days summer camp which was started on 9th of July 2019 and ended on 11th of July, 2019, in various age groups kids remained keen to learn new things via practical activities. (DCW) training wing provided a safe and learning environment during the activities to children for enhancing activity based learning. At the camp children were taught reading, writing, communication skills for their personal development, self confidence, socializing and making new friends.
In the concluding ceremony Incharge Dawah Center for Women (DCW), IIUI Mrs Shagufta Omer shared that such activities are to provide children a chance to polish their skills add new skills in their existing abilities like public speaking, designing as they will proceed in life. She further said that regularly being involved in these summer activities can help in improving the self-esteem and mental growth of children at very early age as activity based learning in summer camp for children are not only good for their health but overall wellness. It includes activities that require team effort; a child will come to realize the importance of working with others to reach a common goal with shared efforts.
During the camp children were also given information on important themes such as love for Allah (SWT), Quran and love for Muhammad (PBUH), Namaz, Islamic manners and respect to the elders. At the end of the summer camp, story books from Dawah Academy, certificates and gifts were also presented to the children. Parents have hailed the effort and termed it as a very constructive activity for their children.
