IIUI Cyber Hunters Secure Third Position in NADRA Bug Bounty Challenge

Islamabad: The Cyber Hunters team from the Faculty of Computing, Department of Software Engineering at the International Islamic University Islamabad secured third position in the NADRA Bug Bounty Challenge 2026 and won a cash prize of PKR 200,000 in the national-level competition.

Organized by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the challenge brought together leading cybersecurity students and professionals from across Pakistan to identify vulnerabilities and contribute to strengthening digital security systems. The IIUI team was recognized as the only all-female team among the top performers.

Chairman NADRA, Muhammad Munir Afsar, appreciated the performance of the participating teams and acknowledged the efforts of the IIUI students for their technical competence and contribution to cybersecurity awareness.

Shields of appreciation were awarded to Dr. Salma Imtiaz, Chairperson, Department of Software Engineering, and Dr. Umara Zahid, mentor of the participating team, in recognition of their guidance and academic leadership.

The achievement reflects the growing academic and research strength of International Islamic University Islamabad in the field of cybersecurity. It also aligns with the vision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President International Islamic University Islamabad, to promote innovation, applied research and excellence in emerging technologies.
