IIUI Concludes Capacity Building Workshop for Administrative Staff

The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) successfully concluded a week-long Capacity Building Workshop for its administrative staff, aimed at enhancing professional competencies and promoting service excellence.

 

The training was organized by the Office of Professional Trainings under the Directorate of Human Resource Management & Development (HRM&D).

 

The workshop featured sessions on official procedures, ethics, stress management, communication, record management, and basic computing, providing participants with a comprehensive skillset to support efficient university operations.

 

The closing ceremony was attended by Director HRM&D, Mr. Ateeq Ur Rehman Chughtai, senior faculty members, and resource persons. In his address, Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai reaffirmed IIUI’s commitment to continuous staff development and emphasized the importance of accessible training opportunities across all administrative levels. He noted that a capable and dedicated administrative workforce is essential for the university’s progress and student support.

 

Dr. Inam ul Haq, Director Administration, underlined the complexity of workplace behavior and stressed the need for consistent application of learned strategies to improve performance. He appreciated the participants’ engagement and constructive feedback.

Dr. Faryal Ambreen highlighted the significance of practical, experience-based learning in professional development and encouraged staff to take ownership of their roles with a commitment to excellence.

 

Meanwhile, Dr. Saima Kanwal apprised that the upcoming launch of a structured feedback mechanism for training impact assessment.

 

The initiative aims to foster accountability, monitor progress, and guide future development efforts.

 

Participants expressed satisfaction with the workshop content, terming it insightful and applicable to their daily responsibilities. The program not only enriched technical knowledge but also encouraged self-reflection and professional growth.
