International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), through the Training Department of its Dawah Academy, concluded the 40th Human Resource Development Program for officers of the Armed Forces at Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Old Campus, Faisal Mosque.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), as chief guest. The event was attended by course participants, faculty members, and staff of Dawah Academy, while General Headquarters was represented by Colonel Tariq.
Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed congratulated Dawah Academy on the successful completion of the month-long training program. He said that since its establishment in 1985, Dawah Academy has been playing a significant role in promoting the universal and balanced message of Islam and contributing to the intellectual and moral development of Muslim societies. He noted that specialized training programs for Armed Forces officers reflect the academy’s vision, commitment, and academic standards, adding that the completion of 40 such programs and the training of more than one thousand officers is a notable achievement.
The President emphasized that Pakistan’s Armed Forces are guardians of the country’s sovereignty and ideological foundations, and that effective leadership requires moral strength, character building, and intellectual insight alongside professional competence. He expressed hope that the officers would apply the knowledge and values gained during the course in their professional and practical lives.
Earlier, Director General Dawah Academy Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas welcomed the chief guest and termed the completion of the 40th program a milestone. He highlighted the significance of the number forty in Islamic tradition and leadership concepts, and remarked that officers of the Armed Forces represent discipline, vision, and character for Pakistan and the wider Muslim world. He stressed that Dawah is not limited to words, but requires presenting the teachings of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through wisdom, balance, and disciplined conduct in practical life.
Representing the course participants, Major Saqib shared his views on the program, while the proceedings were conducted by Dr. Abdul Fareed Brohi, Chairperson Training Department, Dawah Academy. He informed that the 30-day program was attended by 28 officers from Pakistan Army, Air Force, and Navy, featuring 68 academic sessions along with several study visits. The curriculum covered Quranic studies, Islamic personality development, leadership, human behavior, and the Islamic concept of knowledge. Participants were also presented with copies of the Holy Quran and other academic books.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates and honorary shields were distributed among the participants, while the course officers presented a commemorative shield to the President of IIUI.
