Athar Mehmood, a student of Faculty of Shariah and Law at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) claimed title of the international debate championship held at International Islamic University of Malaysia.
As many as 17 countries took part in the contest, while three of the students including Athar Mehmood, Hafiullah and Imam Akbar Maulana represented IIUI. The event was attended by Arab and non-Arab countries where Athar outclassed rest of the contestants.
IIUI leadership and faculty of law have felicitated the students and said that it is a matter of pride and joy for IIUI.
