The Central Library of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has commenced its orientation drive for newly enrolled students of the Fall Semester 2025.
In the opening session, female students from the Department of Arabic and the Department of Translation & Interpretation participated. Dr. M. Zulqarnain Akhtar, Chief Librarian of IIUI, welcomed the students and introduced them to the library’s resources and services.
The session also included a detailed briefing by Ms. Sidra Shan, Librarian, on the use of the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), access to HEC Digital Library Databases, Etheses, and Maktab-e-Shamila, along with guidance on the library membership process.
The orientation drive aims to familiarize new students with academic resources and ensure their effective utilization throughout the semester.
