IIUI CARAVAN JOINS ‘KASHMIR HOUR’ AT D-CHOWK

International Islamic University caravan, on the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, attended Friday ‘Kashmir Hour’ from 12pm to 12:30pm at D-Chwok , Islamabad to express solidarity with Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.

In the leadership of IIUI Rector,  Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, as many as 12 buses from male and female campuses of IIUI reached the venue with banners and placards portraying miseries and oppression faced by  Kashmiris.

Education institutions, government and private offices, banks, traders, lawyers and military authorities took part in the event. All traffic signals turned red at noon.

The rally  reached outside the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) where a large gathering was addressed by the prime minister. “Today, all of Pakistan, wherever there are Pakistanis, whether they are our students, shopkeepers or labourers — today all of us are standing with our Kashmiris,” the premier said.  He said “Our Kashmiris are going through a very tough time.”

IIUI Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai  reiterated the resolve that IIUI will keep fighting for the rights of Kashmiris. He said Indian oppression and heinous crimes in occupied Kashmir must be stopped and world powers must come forward to save humanity. He said IIUI’s active participation in the event is an omen varsity’s commitment to the Kashmir cause.  IIUI Vice Presidents, Deans. DGs, heads of the departments, other faculty members and students from both the campuses gathered in large numbers and chanted slogans.
