International Islamic University (IIU) faculty members Dr Nyla Jabeen Ms Sadaf Anwaar brought fame to theuniversity by clinching best research paper award.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) conferred best research paper award in the area of Agricultural Biotechnology to Dr Nyla Jabeen, Student Advisor Female Campus and Ph. D and Ms Sadaf Anwaar Lecturer department of Bioninformatics and Biotechnology, Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences of the university.
HEC received 5000 papers out of which only 38 papers were selected for the award. The research was published in Frontiers in Plant Sciences which is the number one most cited journal in the area of Plant Biotechnology. The study reported is the part of HEC funded project and was conducted in the Applied Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering Lab, FBAS, Female Campus. The lab was established by using HEC- NRPU and PSF funded projects. Dr Nyla Jabeen is the Principal Investigator of these projects. Rector IIU, President, Director Female Campus and Dean FBAS congratulated the research team for this great achievement.
