A grand Iftar dinner was hosted by the Worthy President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, for all hostel-residing students at both the Male and Female Campuses. Gracing the occasion with his presence, the Worthy President personally joined more than 3,000 students, along with Dr. Saleh Sulaiman A. Alghofaili, Advisor to the President, and Dr. H. Ghufran, Director Student Affairs (M), and Dr. Ibrar Shinwari, Provost, Men’s Hostels, and Dr. Sajida Jamil, Provost, Female Hostels, Ms. Kiran Kyani, Ms. Rabia Mumtaz, security personnel and hostel staff, for Iftar in hostel lawns of the New Campus separately for male and female. Sitting among the students, he shared the meal with them, reflecting his deep care and fatherly affection for those observing the blessed month of Ramadan away from their families. The event was held under the supervision and follow-up of Dr. Saleh Sulaiman A. Alghofaili, Advisor to the President, along with Mr. Osama Jamshaid, and teams of active volunteers from the Students’ Higher Advisory Council lead by Mr. Ammar Ayyoub, and Mr. Saad Muhammad Ishaq (for male campus), and Ms. Hajira Ayaz, and Ms. Bareera Shafique (for female campus) who facilitated the arrangements, ensuring an equally well-organized and welcoming gathering for male and female hostel residents. Following Iftar, the Worthy President led the Maghrib prayer as Imam in the hostel lawns, further strengthening the spiritual bond between the leadership and the student body during the sacred month. Students expressed immense happiness and gratitude for the opportunity to share Iftar with the Worthy President. The evening concluded with a group photograph of the Honourable President with the hostel-residing students, marking a memorable moment of unity, respect, and shared belonging. The gathering served as a powerful reminder that at IIUI, students remain central to the University’s vision, and even while away from home, they are embraced as part of a caring and supportive academic family.
