Future Educational Leader Training Program Begins at IIUI

The Institute of Professional Development (IPD) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) inaugurated the Future Educational Leader Training Program (FELTP) with an opening ceremony marked by reflection and engagement.

The session commenced with recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome note and an interactive introduction session involving 20 participants from various schools and leadership roles. Participants shared their aspirations and perspectives on educational leadership.

Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, Director IPD, introduced the university’s vision and highlighted IPD’s efforts in research-informed and contextually relevant training, including initiatives like the monitoring and evaluation framework for IIUI Schools.

Dr. Kashif Sohail Malik, Master Trainer at IPD, discussed the evolution and philosophy of IIUI Schools, touching on key values such as Islamic education, citizenship, and innovation.

Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, Consultant IPD and FELTP Focal Person, outlined the program structure, covering themes like instructional leadership, ethics, well-being, digital innovation, resource management, and school transformation.

Concluding the session, Prof. Dr. Nadeem encouraged participants to embrace purposeful leadership, adapt to technological advancements, and maintain the trust society places in educators.

The five-day training program will continue until August 1, 2025, featuring workshops, interactive sessions, and action planning activities aimed at strengthening school leadership capacities.
