Funeral prayer in absentia was offered for the martyrs of Quetta carnage here at Faisal Masjid. It was attended by Rector International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), Vice Presidents, Director General, Deans, Directors, teaching and administrative communities including large number of citizens of twin cities.
Speaking after the prayer, Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said that the incident has saddened the hearts of nation. He said that grief is not explainable as we have lost few of our Alumni lawyers in this inhuman act as well. He urged for unity while saying that enemies want to divide us but the nation has become closer after this brutal act. It is pertinent to mention that Rector IIUI also lost few of his relatives in the bomb blast of Quetta.
