FEMALE STUDENTS FROM KURRAM AGENCY COLLEGE VISIT IIUI

In connection to the Resilience Drive for the Female Youth of Kurram Agency, a study tour of (40) female students and teachers under the lead of Ms. Henna Karamat, Director Planning of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Foundation visited International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) main campus on Monday.

Students group was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad khan, Director (Academics), IIUI in the Council Hall of Administration Block where he briefed the students about the university academic programs and vision of the President of the university during a comprehensive presentation. On this occasion Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Zafar Iqbal and Chairman Sociology, Dr. Akhlaq Ahmad was also present during the briefing session.

In his briefing, Dr. Muhammad Khan elaborated the core objectives and goals of the university with students. Director (Academics) particularly apprised the participants about the distinctions of Islamic University in different fields and widely contributions in the field of education, research and generally for society and nation building. He added that IIUI is one of the leading universities of the country which is producing highly qualified talented graduates duly integrated with the teachings of Islam.

Mentioning the young college female students who have never left their area, appreciated the tour organizers for this effort for enabling them to make an opportunity to get this study tour.  He added that this study tour will help young students in getting exposure in terms of knowing available career choices and any courses or programs they want to adopt in the future here at International Islamic University.

Earlier, student’s delegation visited the central library of the university where officials briefed them about different sections of the library and online access system of books during a detailed briefing. In Female Campus, Directorate of Students Affairs, DSA welcomed the delegation where Dr. Sumayya Chughtai, Students Advisor (Female) and Dr. Sadia from the Sociology Department welcomed them and the delegation also visited the sports center and gymnasium of the female campus where In-Charge, Sports briefed them about extracurricular and sports activities of the campus students.

The objective of the visit was to inform the students about the available facilities for students at university as well as to broaden the concept of higher education in higher education institutions.
