Farewell to Dr. Farhat Meher – A Tribute by the Dean’s Office and the Critical Thinking Forum

The Office of the Dean, Faculty of Languages and Literature in collaboration with the Critical Thinking Forum organized a graceful faculty-level tribute ceremony in honor of Dr. Farhat Meher, commemorating her outstanding service and invaluable contributions to the Department of English, FLL on 24th April, 2025.

The event served as a heartfelt tribute to her dedication, mentorship, and lasting impact on the university community.

Adding to the significance of the event was the presence of the Dean, FLL Dr Fouzia and other esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Munazza, Dr. Saiyma, Dr. Sofia, Ms. Komal, Dr. Sonia, Dr. Rafia from Department of English and Dr. Saira and Dr Shiraz from the Department of Urdu. The faculty members shared warm and thoughtful remarks, acknowledging Dr. Meher’s professional excellence, generous spirit, and the positive influence she has had on the academic community.

A particularly memorable moment was the tribute delivered by Dr. Ameena Nasir, the former Director (Female Campus) of IIUI and Dr. Meher’s teachers. Her heartfelt words underscored the admirable journey of her student-turned-colleague, adding a deeply personal and emotional dimension to the occasion.
