Mechanical Technology is applicable in all types of industries particularly it plays in implantation manufacturing and processing industries. The course of diploma of associate engineering in mechanical technology is according the requirements of industries.
The department comprises of Foundry Shop, Machine Shop, Wood-Work Shop, Welding Shop, Metal Work Shop and Two Drawing Halls. All the shops are equipped with the standard machinery & equipments.
Present work shops are being upgraded continuously. Also, new work shops have been planed to establish in this department. This department provides facility to all other technology’s students of this Centre, and practicals are conducted in the work- shops according to the approved syllabus of NISTE.For each academic year, raw materials, tools / equipment etc are purchased according to requirement.
Mechanical Technology student are being sent to different industries and other technical centers for practical training with the efforts of their teachers so that they may get familiar with the actual working of industries & observe modern technological developments.
Our students are fit to meet increasing demand of the industries. Mechanical Technology students get normally, employment in Machine Tool Factory, Pakistan Steel Mills, Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works, Alwin Industries, Hino Pak & others where they work on different positions & play an important role for the development of our country.
Skill
Mechanical Department provides practical training to its students in the fields of woodwork, Metal work, Welding, Material Testing, Machine Shop and Computer. Furthermore, student’s visits are arranged in industrial units for practical training.

 After completing DAE course, pass-outs get employed as Sub Engineer / Supervisor in present industrial set ups. They can also improve their professional education by getting admission in B.Tech (pass), B.Tech (honours) and B.E. Foreign Universities also grant admission to DAE pass-outs for higher education. A DAE pass-out can also be admitted in HND Course.
