Dr. Muhammad Zafar Hashmi, Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad called on Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Rector, International Islamic University (IIU) in his office at Faisal Masjid Campus.
Dr. Hashmi who is a renowned writer on envoirnental issues, presented his books to the Rector. During the meeting, it was agreed that faculty must bring youth towards writing.
They also agreed that writing skills and critical thinking are the salient attributes that must be inculcated by the faculty into the minds of the students. The Rector hailing the services and passion for books of Dr. Hashmi, urged that he must start a comprehensive movement to bring youth in book writing. They both also discussed importance of book reading and libraries in the society. Dr. Masoom opined that young minds, if involved in such constructive and creative ventures such as writing can do wonder to chage the fate of nation.
