Dr. Shamaila Sajjad, Chairperson, Department of Physics, Faculty of Basic and 
Applied Sciences International Islamic University has clinched research grant of an amount of 12 million with project in the field of nanotechnology under National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) of Higher Education Commission (HEC).
It is the biggest amount ever granted to a female faculty member. Dr. Shamaila Sajjad is an active researcher in the field of Nanotechnology. She has also been awarded with a PAS Gold medal in emerging technologies (including Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics).
The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), IIUI, has been pleased to congratulate Dr. Shamaila Sajjad for winning competitive research grant. Faculty member and officials of university has congratulated on her success and wished her best of luck in future research endeavors.
