Dr. Rizwan Aftab has been appointed Students Advisor of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
Dr. Rizwan is a Lecturer, English Department, Faculty of Languages & Literature of IIUI.
The President IIUI, H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, in view of his vision to provide ideal serene and enabling environment to students, has been pleased to assign the responsibilities of Students Advisor (male campus) to Dr. Rizwan Aftab.
Dr. Rizwan Aftab after assuming the charge Students Advisor held a meeting at his Office where he vowed that prime focus of Directorate of Students’ Affairs will be to create a positive learning environment in the light of the vision of the IIUI President.
He opined that it fosters successful learning and personal development, both inside and outside of the traditional classroom. Students’ Advisor said that the top priority of Students Advisor is to turn IIUI students into successful intellectually curious learners so that they may become healthy, competent and active citizens of the country.
He elaborated that the vision provides educational opportunities, resources and support to help each individual student.
It was apprised in the meeting that the Students’ Advisor office has also chalked out a schedule of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The activities include, Lectures, workshops and seminars on different topics and social issues and those will be conducted during the semester FALL-22 to help the students for career counseling/guidance and enhancement of personality traits.
During the meeting with staff of Students’ Advisor office, Dr. Rizwan Aftab stressed upon the need to promote the talent of IIUI students by engaging them in different productive activities. He furthered that these activities shall help to polish the skills of talented students.
At the end of the meeting Dr. Rizwan hoped that the university administration and faculty will facilitate the university students to showcase their talent at national and international level.
