Prof. Dr Masoom Yasinzai, during his visit to Oman, has met with prominent officials of the country and discussed promotion of education, bilateral cooperation, networking among universities of Islamic world and role of educational institutions in finding solution to the contemporary challenges.
Dr. Masoom, in separate meetings, discussed issues of mutual interest with Minister for Religious of Affairs of Oman, Chairman Senate of Oman , Vice Chancellor Qaboos University of Oman and Deputy Mufti Azam of Oman.
IIUI Rector said in the meetings that Islamic world must focus on bridging the gap between academia and industry. He added that Muslim countries must adopt approach of finding indigenous solutions to the challenges of hour. He also said that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism and a stereotype disseminated against it must be nullified through spreading true image of Islam across the world by using latest technology. Dr. Masoom also discussed vision of university, its activities, future plans and collaborations with the dignitaries.
