The Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Sciences International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized an international webinar titled “Roles of HOX genes in Glioblastoma”. This webinar is a part of our ongoing efforts to provide cutting-edge knowledge and to promote scholarly discourse in the field of Molecular Biology.
The webinar featured Dr. Diki, M Ed, a distinguished scholar from Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia, as the guest speaker. The event was well-attended by more than one hundred students, faculty, and researchers, fostering a stimulating environment for academic exchange and discussion.
The expertise of Dr. Diki and his insightful perspectives on the selected topic enhanced the attention of all listeners toward the event which created a lasting impact on our audience. During the interactive session, Dr. Diki emphasized that this research will eventually lead to novel and effective treatments for brain cancer.
The Chairman of the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science at IIUI, Prof. Dr. Asif Mir delivered his vote of thanks and expressed his appreciation for arranging the seamless event on the significant topic by providing knowledge and expertise of the speaker on the occasion.
The Department of Biological Sciences organized the webinar under supervision of Prof. Dr. Sobia Tabasum. On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Sobia Tabassum also announced that Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Universities Terbuka, Indonesia and International Islamic University, Islamabad while, being focal person of the MoU, she requested distinguished guest speaker to collaborate with IIUI on the same research lines so that research students and faculty on both sides could get benefit from his expertise in the field.
