DEPT. OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES CELEBRATES WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE & DEVELOPMENT

The Department of Biological Sciences (female campus) of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences (FBAS) celebrated the “World Science Day for Peace and Development 2021” at Hazrat Maryam Block.

At this occasion, various models to demonstrate diversity among different animal groups from simple to complex prepared by the students were displayed.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences inaugurated the exhibition and visited the display of each group. The activity was organized by Dr. Fareeha Ambreen, Assistant Professor organized the exhibition.

Students showed keen interest in preparation of models those they prepared by recycling of used material and maintained the cost from Rs. 150-200 for each model. Each group of student was consisted of five members.

Inaugurating the activity, Dr. Irfan appreciated the efforts of the department to mark the day. He said students deserve special encouragement as they have showcased remarkable skills by setting an example of environment friendly activity.
