DEPARTMENT PSYCHOLOGY IIUI, PAKISTAN INSTITUTE OF LIVING & LEARNING (PILL) AGREE ON MUTUAL COOPERATION

Department of Psychology International Islamic University Islamabad achieved another milestone in academic excellence and signed an agreement with Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning (PILL).

The agreement marks that IIUI and PILL have entered into common understanding to ensure that both the institutes to start initiatives in producing new synergies related to share knowledge, collaborate on research and disseminate good clinical practices and jointly host seminars, workshops and training events to strengthen clinicians’ capacities for sustainable management of clinical trials for productive health outcomes.

In this connection, a team of Pakistan Institute of Living & Learning led by Dr. Nasim Chaudhry CEO PILL conducted a successful extensive one-day training regarding Clinical Trial Management with a purpose to manage public health challenges and in building capacity in individuals to combat health hazards.

He was accompanied by Senior Clinical Lecturer, University of Manchester, Prof. Imran Bashir Chaudhry, Chairman Dept. of Psychiatry, Ziauddin University & Hospital, Tayyaba Kiran, Assistant Director R& D (PILL) and Ameer Bux, Research Associate (PILL).

The training was attended by number of clinicians, eminent educationists, health professionals, and students participated in this training and regarded it beneficial for rising complex health challenges at all levels: individual, local, regional, national and global.

President IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Yousif Ahmed Al Draiweesh graced the occasion with his presence and distributed certificates among the participants of the training. On the occasion, he said that the signing of agreement would mark the consolidations of a true partnership between the signatories and help in achieving high-quality care and improved health outcomes. Talking on the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Chairman Dept, of Psychology, IIUI said that the clinical trial management training would enable clinicians to keep abreast of new training capabilities and methods.

In concluding with a good will, clear ambitions and a strong commitment to work together, Dr. Khalily expressed his sincere thanks to the President IIUI, participants of the training and those who put dedicated efforts to the finalization of this great event. In particular, he thanked the PILL team whose insights and sincerity of purpose have made the signing of this agreement a reality.
