DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY ORGANIZES LECTURE ON “HOW TO DEVELOP A RESEARCH QUESTION?”

A lecture was organized by Department of Psychology at Lincoln Corner, Central Library, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) to focus on research in the field of Psychology.

Dr Saeed Farooq Clinical Senior Lecturer at Research Institute for Primary Care & Health Sciences, Keele University United Kingdom was guest speaker. He delivered

1234 comprehensive lecture on “How to Develop a Research Question?” to enlighten the students regarding the significance of research and employment of strategies to develop a well defined research question.

Dr Saeed emphasized that a good research question is always the one, which a researcher can answer within the available resources. He said that a researcher needs to revisit and rephrase a research question to develop an appropriate research question. He highlighted the concepts of right question and research question.

Prof. Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Director Academics/Chairman Department of Psychology (male) in his interaction pointed out the significance of the lecture and expressed that research is an essential as well as most advancing field of psychology and calls for production of quality work by the students. Dr. Kehkashan Arouj, Acting Chairperson Department of Psychology (female) appreciated the ideas expressed by Dr Saeed by giving vote of thanks. She motivated the students for their interactive participation during the lecture. At the end of the Lecture, Dr Muhammad Tahir Khalily and Dr Kehkashan Arouj presented souvenir to Dr. Saeed Farooq.
