DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY & PAKISTAN STUDIES HOLDS SEMINAR ON KASHMIR DISPUTE

The Department of History & Pakistan Studies arranged a seminar on “Kashmir Dispute: Historical & International Perspective”.

The guest speaker, Dr. Sameera, Assistant Professor, Department of International Relations, National Defense University, Islamabad gave a comprehensive, informative and all-inclusive presentation covering the stand of US and China over the Kashmir issue. Moreover, the presentation comprised on the analysis of US and China interests in the region and the future prospects.

Professor Dr. Amna Mahmood, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences reviewed the crux of the seminar and presented the concluding remarks. Moreover, she highlighted the importance of academic discourse and appreciated the efforts of the Department of History & Pakistan Studies in this regard. In the end, the Dean expressed thanks to the speakers, faculty members and students. On the occasion, Dr. Syed Akmal Hussain Shah, Assistant Professor/ Incharge, Department of History & Pakistan Studies highlighted the historical perspective of Kashmir dispute .

Earlier, Dr. Abdul Zahoor Khan, Assistant Professor/Seminar coordinator of the Department briefed about the seminar objectives and introduced the speakers.  A question answer session as also held that was participated by the faculty and students.
