Department of Educational Leadership & Management, Faculty of Education International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) successfully organized a Pre-Conference Workshop titled “Integrating Technology in Academia” as part of the upcoming 1st International Conference on Innovative Pathways in Educational Leadership and Management (IPELM-25).
The workshop was held in a blended format at Faisal Masjid Campus, and attended by over 40 participants including faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and academic professionals.
The workshop focused on exploring the practical and ethical integration of technology in teaching, learning, and research. It featured interactive demonstrations of digital tools and research applications to support academic writing and referencing.
Prof. Dr. Muazzam Ali Khan Khattak, Director of Science & Technology and ICESCO Chair on Data Analytics & Edge Computing at Quaid-i-Azam University, delivered a thought-provoking session. The session also included discussion by Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of Educational Leadership and Management (DELM), and Dr. Muhammad Sher Baz Ali, Assistant Professor (DELM).
A key highlight of the event was the Certificate Distribution Ceremony, led by Dr. Maslawati Mohamad, Chair of the Centre for Learning and Teaching Innovation Studies at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She applauded the initiative and encouraged participants to embrace innovative digital practices while maintaining academic integrity and purpose-driven teaching.
Participants appreciated the workshop’s practical relevance, timely theme, and hands-on approach, describing it as a valuable learning experience that bridges the gap between traditional pedagogy and the demands of 21st-century education.
The workshop served as a prelude to the main conference sessions of IPELM-25, scheduled for May 7–8, 2025, which will feature local and international scholars sharing research and innovations in educational leadership, management, and technology integration.
