DCW’S ISLAMIC ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR FEMALE STUDENTS CONCLUDES

A week-long Islamic orientation program for the 40 female students of 9 faculties of International Islamic University (IIU) concluded here at Faisal Masjid campus where participants were involved in the interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary lectures and activities with an addition of Islamic sessions.

The concluding ceremony was chaired by the President IIUI Dr  Ahmed Yousif Al- Draiweesh who hailed the organizers of the program for arranging a range of activities for the students.  He highlighted the role of a woman in society and called upon the Muslim societies to provide best opportunities to women for playing due rile in the society.

He maintained that university was keen for women empowerment and its separate campus for females was visible example where as many as 14 thousand females were getting quality education. He added that the number of female students was more than male students at the university. He said tha Islam was the only religion which gives complete rights to women.

The program was also attended by Director female campus Dr. Farkhanda zia, Director General Dawah Academy Dr. Sohail Hassan, Students Advisor Dr. Naila Jabeen , Incharge Dawah Centre for women (DCW) Shagufta Omar and other staff members.
