DCW,IIUI: COURSE FOR WOMEN WRITERS CONCLUDES

 A week long Islamic Training Course for Female Writers which was started on 19th January, 2020 concluded here today at Dawah Centre for Women (DCW) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). The course was attended by 24 women writers who participated from Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Faisalabad, Mansehra, Chakwal, Kashmir, Rawaloindi and Islamabad. The course was aimed at encouraging young writers to discuss vital issues of the society with their pen while they were taught how to take guidance from the Islamic teaching when it comes to writing.

Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony was Chairman of Islamic Ideology (CII) Dr. Qibla Ayaz while it was also joined by Acting President, IIUI Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik, Director General Dawah Academy Dr.Tahir Mehmood and Vice President Female Campus Dr. Farkhanda Zia. Incharge DCW, Ms Shagufta Omer, course participants and staff members.

Dr. Qibla Ayaz congratulated course participants upon successful completion of Islamic Training Course conducted by DCW here at university while he emphasized the role of writers in nation building especially for youth in present era.

Addressing during concluding ceremony Dr. Qibla Ayaz said that role of women writers is pivotal for nations, while female writers have much responsibility in shaping mindset of youth with respect to true teachings of Islam in Islamic societies. Dr. Ayaz called upon the Muslim societies to provide best opportunities to women for imparting their significant role.

Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik appreciated the Academies role for conducting such trainings and said that the Academy is addressing the significant topics for restructuring and strengthening the family system of Muslim societies.

During week long training, course participants attended lectures from renowned scholars and remained involved in different academic activities. Course participants also visited different places of twin cities while, comprehensive sessions on significant topics based on Islamic teachings in Qur’an and Sunnah,  the role of women in an Islamic society, teachings of Qur’an and Islamic ideologies, Islamic practices for women in domestic and practical life, were covered during the training program while, Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassan, Dr. Tahir Mehmood,  Prof. Dr. Fazal Elahi, Dr. Muhammad Khan Minhas, Dr. Hafiz Habib ur Rehman, Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Anwar, Dr. Abdur Rehman Hafeez, Dr. Sajid Mirza, Dr. Ahmed Hatib Sidiqui, Ms Rukhsana Ameer, Dr. Bibi Amina, Dr. Robina Shafi, Ms Jabeen Husnain  Ms Shagufta Omer, and Ms Faryal Ambreen, delivered lectures during the weeks long course organized for female writers at Dawah Center for Women, DCW, IIUI.

At the end course completing certificates were given by the Chairman Islamic Ideology (CII), to the course participants.
