The Dawah Centre for Women of Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), in collaboration with the Youth Wing of the Women Forum, Turkiye, successfully concluded a 12-day International Summer Camp for Female Students’ of the University. Conducted virtually via Zoom from July 10 to 21, 2025, the camp brought together enthusiastic young Muslim participants from Turkey, Norway, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Pakistan.
Under the leadership of Dr. Faryal Umbreen, the camp was aimed at fostering personal growth, enhancing essential life skills, and strengthening the Islamic identity of young Muslim women. Participants, ranging from high school to university level, engaged in a variety of sessions that promoted both academic and personal development through a global and inclusive learning environment.
The camp featured a range of focused topics relevant to the needs of modern youth. Participants were introduced to the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence, helping them understand emerging technologies and their ethical implications. A First Aid Training session equipped the girls with practical emergency response knowledge, while sessions on Writing Skills helped improve their expression and communication abilities. In addition, the camp emphasized Holistic Personality Development, encouraging self-awareness, confidence-building, and faith-based leadership.
Interactive workshops and discussions were central to the program, providing a space for participants to reflect on their identity, exchange cultural perspectives, and engage in meaningful dialogue. The virtual platform also enabled a unique experience of global sisterhood, connecting young Muslim girls from diverse backgrounds while reinforcing shared values.
At the conclusion of the camp, participants who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded e-certificates issued by the International Islamic University Islamabad. The initiative received positive feedback, with students describing the camp as “transformative,” “uplifting,” and “a unique opportunity to connect with fellow Muslim girls from around the world.”
Dr. Faryal Umbreen expressed gratitude for the overwhelming participation and commended the collaborative spirit of the partner organizations. She stressed the importance of such initiatives in empowering confident, capable, and value-driven young Muslim women in today’s rapidly changing world.
The Dawah Centre for Women reaffirmed its commitment to organizing similar educational and character-building programs in the future, aimed at equipping Muslim youth with the knowledge, values, and confidence to contribute meaningfully to society.
