DAWAH CENTER FOR WOMEN (DCW) HOLDS ISLAMIC TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR FEMALE WRITERS

Dawah Center for Women (DCW) of International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) and the Department of Urdu, Female Campus jointly organized a one-day Islamic Training workshop for Female Writers which was held at Seminar Room of Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS), Female Campus of the University.
The workshop was aimed to encourage young writers to learn writing skills and to discuss important aspects in the light of Islamic teachings.
Incharge (DCW), Ms Shagufta Omer welcomed the participants and shared importance of education for a humans life. She also briefed about Islamic ideology among young writers. She thanked Ms. Saira Batool, Assistant Professor from Urdu Department and Program Coordinator, Ms Faryal Ambreen, Assistant Professor (DCW) for organizing the one day workshop successfully.
The workshop was joined by renowned writer Ahmed Hatib Siddiqui, Provost Female Campus and Head of Urdu Department Female Campus, Dr. Humaia Ashfaq, Incharge DCW, Ms Shagufta Omer, Dr. Faryal Ambreen, Assistant Professor DCW, faculty members and a large number and as many as 74 female students of the university.
During the workshop, Mr. Ahmed Hatib Siddiqui shared writing rules and skills with workshop participants and emphasized the role of writers in nation building especially for youth in present era. Reading and writing is an integral part of a student’s life during academic career while, all students should make reading and writing an integral part of their lives.
Addressing to workshop participants, Dr. Humara Ashfaq said that there are lot of topics in the society for writers which can easily be addressed in simple writings. She added that research should also be incorporated while writing on different topics.
At the end Incharge (DCW) presented books of Dawah Academy to the guests participated in the workshop.
