On the directions of H.E. Dr. Hathal hamoud Alotaibi, Worthy President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), a meeting of the committee of the university on various management related matters at new and old campuses of the varsity was held here in the council hall, administration block under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Nabi Bux Jumani, Vice President (Administration & Finance).
During the meeting, the committee reviewed various important matters pertaining to management at male and female campuses most importantly issues of hostels at new and old campuses.
The committee showed concern on registration process of hostel students desiring its urgent completion. The committee asked the Directorate of Information Systems to ensure hundred percent registration of hostel boarders within 10 days and submit a report on 16th of March, 2023 and to avoid entry of non-registered ones through turnstile gates. The chair directed to all the concerned quarters to resolve the issues in turnstile gates on priority basis.
Keeping in view of given tasks on the visit of the hostels, Vice President (A&F), IIUI Dr. N.B. Jumani said that on 21st of March, 2023 the team will re-visit the previously visited premises of the hostels to see the ongoing progress and completion of tasks along with relevant officials in this regard.
Dr. N.B. Jumani directed all the coordinators of the departments to submit the daily class reports to the Directorate of Academics. He urged all the concerned quarters to play role in academic excellence and flaw less management at the university.
During the meeting various issues related to the bikes being parked at Kuwait hostel and vehicles parking for the Deans and the officials of IIU at the parking sheds at the new campus was discussed. VP (A&F) issued directions to the concerned for proper management of parking in these areas to avoid inconvenience to official vehicles and proper entry and parking of the bikes especially at hostels parking areas to avoid any untoward incidents. On this occasion Dr. N.B. Jumani took feedback from Canteens and Shops Committees officials about the establishment of new cafes and various shops at both campuses within two months. Mr. Sajjad Ahmed shared that biddings for the establishment of shops and cafes are in progress and after opening of bids and after Eid ul Fitr the new kiosks/shops and cafes would be functional as per deadline guidance of the university administration.
