The 10th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR-10) for the year 2024 was convened at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) on Thursday.
It was presided over by the university’s president, Professor Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed.
The board confirmed the minutes of its previous meetings. The session was attended by deans of faculties, the Director of ORIC, the Director of QAD, Dr. Suheel Abdullah (Secretary BASR), and other relevant officials and members of the board.
During the meeting, the board reviewed and analyzed 24 PhD synopses from various faculties, including the Faculty of Usuluddin (Islamic Studies), Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Arabic, and the International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE). Additionally, the board approved the list of local and international experts and evaluators for the Faculty of Management Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Faculty of Languages and Literature.
The IIUI President and Chairman BASAR underscored the significance of maintaining research standards, particularly in addressing time-barred cases. Professor Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed emphasized the importance of adhering to institutional policies and upholding academic integrity. He reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting excellence in research and ensuring its alignment with international benchmarks.
