
A meeting of the Anti-Harassment Committee of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was convened under the chairmanship of Director General, Shariah Academy, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram.
The meeting was attended by Dean, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Prof. Dr. Fauzia Janjua, Director IRI, Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai (Secretary of the Committee), and Legal Advisor, Muhammad Ramzan Khan.
Mr. Ateeq ur Rehman Chughtai presented the agenda comprising six items before the Committee. In accordance with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), both the complainants and the respondent were heard individually through one-to-one proceedings.
The Committee ensured strict compliance with the HEC’s prescribed policies and procedural framework for addressing harassment-related complaints. Following detailed deliberations conducted in line with these guidelines, on-the-spot decisions were reached in the respective cases.
The discussions were held in a structured and policy-driven manner, reflecting the Committee’s commitment to transparency, due process, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards. The meeting concluded with the Chair reiterating the Committee’s resolve to uphold a safe and respectful working environment in accordance with HEC policies.
