In line with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s emphasis on promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, a delegation from Air University’s Business Incubation Centre (BIC) visited the Business Incubation Centre at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI).
The visit aimed to exchange best practices and learn from IIUI’s well-established incubation model.
IIUI’s BIC has played a pivotal role in supporting start-ups, promoting entrepreneurial mindsets among students, and equipping aspiring business leaders with mentorship, resources, and a conducive environment to develop their ventures. Over the years, the centre has facilitated numerous young entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into successful businesses.
During the visit, the delegation engaged with the Director of BIC, discussing strategies for strengthening incubation programs and enhancing support for start-ups. The visitors toured the incubation facility, interacted with incubatees, mentors, and administrators, and gained insights into operational frameworks, success stories, and challenges faced by emerging businesses.
The delegation commended IIUI’s BIC for its dedication to entrepreneurship, particularly in providing aspiring entrepreneurs with essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Both universities reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening collaboration in business incubation and promoting knowledge-sharing initiatives for the benefit of students and faculty.
