BS Business Analytics

Mission
The program’s mission is to develop professionals who are capable of transforming data into business insights by developing skills to visualize, analyse, synthesize and present data for effective decision making in the organization.
 
Introduction
Business Intelligence & Analytics continues to be among the fastest-growing areas in business education in the world. The BS Business Analytics program is aimed to provide the desired analytical skills to the students with strong critical thinking abilities who are wishing to harness the power of data to solve the business issues. This program will offer students unique skills to analyse, synthesize, and visually present data, covering all fields of Management i.e., Marketing, Management, Finance and supply chain management. In addition to learning how to use top-of-the-line software tools, students will also learn how to interpret data and identify important business trends using these tools.

Program Learning Outcomes
The graduates of the program are equipped with the in-demand skills and knowledge required for success in their professional careers. This program is designed to give substantial hands-on computing skills, applied data analysis techniques and data visualization skills to solve business problems. After completion of this program students will be able to:

  1. Get deeper understanding of the business functions
  2. Extract, manipulate, and mine data sets from various sources to meet organizational needs.
  3. Apply business analytics and business intelligence tools as a business process to support evidence-based decision-making.
  4. Build and enhance Business Intelligence and analytics capabilities by adapting the appropriate technology and software solutions
  5. Design statistical models using data mining techniques to meet the needs of a specific business process.
  6. Create and present data visualizations to communicate information to business stakeholders using multiple forms of communication.
  7. Apply basic entrepreneurial strategies to identify and respond to new business opportunities.
  8. Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines to ensure data security, integrity, and confidentiality when presenting analytical information.
  9. Apply interpersonal, teambuilding, and leadership skills when participating in diverse environments.
