The Regional Dawah Centre (Sindh), Karachi, of Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized a two-day Islamic training workshop for lawyers in collaboration with Justice Lawyers Front at Dinning Law College Karachi. The workshop brought together 30 practicing lawyers and aimed at strengthening professional ethics and leadership qualities in light of Islamic teachings.
In the opening session, Course Coordinator Dr. Shehzad Channa introduced the course objectives and highlighted the mission and activities of Dawah Academy and IIUI. He elaborated on the academic and training initiatives undertaken by the Academy to promote balanced understanding of Islamic principles in contemporary professions.
Dr. Syed Aziz ur Rehman, In-charge Regional Dawah Centre (Sindh), Karachi, delivered a lecture on “The Successful Human Being,” emphasizing that the standard of success should be determined in the light of Seerah Tayyibah. Renowned trainer Nisar Musa Baloch spoke on “Leadership Skills,” stating that effective leadership can be utilized to promote positive change and social reform.
The workshop featured distinguished resource persons including Dr. Abdul Qadir, former Head of the Department of Islamic Studies at Bahria University; Dr. Tauheedullah Siddiqui from the Department of Law, University of Karachi; Ms. Sana Khan from the Department of Law, University of Karachi; and Dr. Musa Lakhani of Bahria University. They addressed various contemporary legal and ethical dimensions relevant to the legal fraternity.
Speaking at the concluding session, Chief Guest Muhammad Saleem Mangrio, Chairman International Relations and Library Committee, Pakistan Bar Council, observed that such opportunities were not widely available in earlier times. He encouraged lawyers to uphold honesty, integrity, and truthfulness in their professional responsibilities and appreciated the training initiatives of Dawah Academy.
Advocate Supreme Court Syed Zulfiqar Haider Shah, Member Executive Committee Supreme Court Bar Association, underlined the importance of intellectual development and training of the younger generation for the stability of Pakistan. Head of Dinning Law College, Mr. Khazeema, thanked the organizers and expressed hope for continued collaboration. Sohail Baig Nori of Justice Lawyers Front stressed the need for sustained training workshops to secure the country’s future.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, books and certificates were distributed among participants by Dawah Academy, while commemorative shields were presented to guests by Justice Lawyers Front. The initiative reflects IIUI’s continued commitment to professional development and moral training in line with its vision of academic and social excellence.
