A delegation from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) called on Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), at his office at the Faisal Masjid Campus.
The delegation comprised Prof. Dr. Abdul K. Mpaata, Vice Rector (Finance and Administration), and Mutyaba Abdallah, Senior Administrative Assistant, IUIU.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed with a particular focus on higher education, academic cooperation, and potential joint collaborations between the two institutions. The delegation, while conveying the greetings of their Rector, expressed keen interest in seeking IIUI’s assistance in the fields of Shariah and Law, as well as in the establishment and strengthening of the Faculty of Engineering, in addition to other academic disciplines.

Speaking on the occasion, the President IIUI welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed IIUI’s commitment to promoting international academic cooperation. He stated that IIUI would be pleased to extend its support and broaden academic linkages with IUIU through collaborative initiatives, faculty exchange, and capacity-building programs.
The meeting concluded with mutual resolve to further strengthen institutional ties in the larger interest of academic development and the promotion of Islamic and contemporary education.
