The Department of Islamic Outreach Correspondence at Dawah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), organized an extension lecture on the topic “Authority of Hadith” for participants of the Hadith Studies and Islamic Studies course. Attendees joined both in person and online from the twin cities and various regions of the country.
The lecture was delivered by former Director General of Dawah Academy, Prof. Dr. Sohail Hassan, who explained the significance of Hadith, the relationship between the Quran and Sunnah, and the essential role of Prophetic teachings in the practical understanding of Islam. He emphasized that the denial of Hadith represents a serious intellectual challenge for the Muslim Ummah and noted that protection from such deviations lies in firm adherence to the Quran and Sunnah.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Zaheer, In-charge of the Department of Islamic Outreach Correspondence, presented the introductory remarks and outlined the objectives of the course and the lecture. Representing Director General Dawah Academy Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Dr. Qari Zia ur Rehman, In-charge of Faisal Masjid Islamic Center, expressed gratitude to the guest speaker and the organizing team for arranging the session.
At the conclusion of the program, certificates were distributed among the participants in recognition of their completion of the academic component of the course.
