International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) informs its students, faculty, staff, residents, and visitors that a leopard has again been sighted within the broader campus vicinity. This is a continuation of the situation first reported earlier, and the University remains fully vigilant and committed to the safety of its academic community.
Since the initial sighting, IIUI has maintained continuous coordination with the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB), the designated statutory authority responsible for wildlife management in the Islamabad Capital Territory. The University has consistently implemented and sustained all precautionary and facilitative measures advised by the relevant authorities, while extending full cooperation for monitoring and response activities.
In continuation of earlier advisories, and in view of the recent sighting, the following precautionary measures shall remain strictly in force until further notice:
Outdoor movement should be avoided unless necessary, particularly during late evening, night, and early morning hours.
Entry into wooded, bushy, hilly, or sparsely populated areas of the campus is strictly prohibited.
Certain routes, pathways, and open areas may remain regulated or temporarily restricted in the interest of safety, and compliance with such arrangements is mandatory.
The campus community is requested to remain vigilant, avoid spreading unverified information, and promptly report any unusual sighting to the concerned University offices.
Hostel administrations shall continue to ensure timely dissemination of instructions and their calm, orderly, and responsible implementation within hostels.
These measures are preventive and precautionary in nature and are being enforced to ensure community safety while facilitating the competent authority in carrying out its statutory role.
IIUI reiterates its commitment to proactive communication, responsible management, and close coordination with all relevant civil and wildlife authorities. Any further updates will be issued through official University channels only.
