The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), through its Directorate of University Advancement & Financial Aid (UAFA) in coordination with the Student Advisor Office (Male), organized a leadership workshop for DAAD EFFAL and Afghan scholars under the HEC–DAAD Empower Future Female Afghan Leaders (EFFAL) – Pakistan Track Program.
The workshop was held at Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS), Male Campus.
Renowned academic and development professional Mr. Shahid Mahmood Minhas, former Director ORIC, University of Gujrat, former Master Trainer HEC, and currently Executive Director Training & Development at SDPI Islamabad, was the guest speaker.
Mr. Minhas delivered an interactive session focusing on leadership skills, teamwork, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing the role of young scholars in national and global development.
The session aimed to enhance scholars’ leadership capacity alongside their academic pursuits, in line with HEC’s vision of holistic student development.
The event was attended by Dr. Hafiz Ghufran Ahmad, Student Advisor (Male), Ms. Nuzhat Zareen, Director (Audit), and Ms. Humaira Islam, Additional Director (UAFA), along with members of the UAFA team.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Mr. Shahid Mahmood Minhas was presented with a commemorative shield in recognition of his contribution, while a DAAD scholar was also acknowledged for active participation during the session.
