11th BASR Meeting Held at IIUI

The 11th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was held under the chairmanship of Prof.Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President Research and Enterprise.

The session reviewed PhD proposals and MS thesis topics presented by various faculties, upon which the Board provided academic directions aimed at enhancing research quality and relevance.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed emphasized the importance of adopting updated research methodologies and stressed that research produced at the university must address societal needs and offer practical solutions.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (Academics), and Syed Hassan Aftab, Vice President (A&F), also attended the meeting while, faculty representatives and research supervisors from the Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Faculty of Usuluddin, International Institute of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Management Sciences were present in the meeting, who discussed mechanisms for strengthening research standards and ensuring meaningful academic outcomes across disciplines.
