First International Women Conference at IIUI Concludes with Global Perspectives on Women Empowerment and Innovation

The second day of the First International Women Conference at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), themed “Women Shaping the Future: Innovation, Resilience and Leadership,” commenced with impactful keynote speeches by international speakers, focusing on contemporary challenges and opportunities for women in the digital age.

Experts from various countries delivered talks on emerging themes such as Artificial Intelligence within job roles from a women’s user experience, gender-inclusive innovation, and global strategies for women empowerment.

Speakers emphasized that AI and technological advancements must be inclusive to ensure equal opportunities for women across all sectors.
Highlighting the global trends, As workplaces evolve with AI, so must our approach to skill-building and empowerment for women to ensure they are not left behind but lead the change.

Following the keynote session, the conference moved into parallel thematic sessions, where students from various disciplines, researchers, and faculty members from various universities actively participated. Topics included women in digital innovation, women leadership, resilience in conflict zones, and career adaptability in a transforming world.

Outstanding research presentations by students and scholars were recognized with the Best Paper Awards, acknowledging innovative contributions and academic excellence.

The two-day conference culminated in a closing ceremony graced by the President of IIUI, Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, who commended the organizing committee, participants, and international guests for their active engagement and valuable insights. Respected Justice Dr. Syed Muhammad Anwer Aalim Judge in Federal Shariah court also attended concluding ceremony along with President IIUI.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Alahmed emphasized IIUI’s commitment to organizing more platforms that promote dialogue on women’s roles in leadership, innovation, and societal development. “This conference has not only highlighted women’s resilience and leadership but also reaffirmed IIUI’s dedication to inclusive academic growth,” he stated.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where shields and certificates were awarded to organizers, session chairs, co-chairs, moderators, and participants in recognition of their contributions and commitment to the cause.

The First International Women Conference marked a significant milestone in IIUI’s efforts to foster global discussions around women’s empowerment, leadership, and innovation — setting the stage for future initiatives that amplify women’s voices in all spheres of life.

The concluding ceremony was also attended by Prof Dr Raheela Umer, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Sardar Bahadur Khan University, Balochistan,
Prof Dr Zahida Abro, Vice Chancellor SZABIST, Larkana Sindh, Mr. Shamoon Hashmi, Principal Secretary National Assembly, Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Nadeem, DG training Establishment division, Islamabad, IIUI faculty members and a large number of female students.
