National Technology Council Visits DECE for Program Evaluation

The National Technology Council (NTC) visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DECE), Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), for the interim visit of the Bachelors of Engineering Technology (Computer) program and the zero visit of the two newly launched programs, Bachelors of Engineering Technology (Artificial Intelligence) and Bachelors of Engineering Technology (Cyber Security) .

 

The NTC team included Prof. Dr. Umair Abdullah (Convener & Expert: AI Technology), Prof. Dr. Saud Altaf (Expert: Computer Technology), Prof. Dr. Yasar Amin (Expert: Cyber Security Technology), and Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad (NTC Representative). They were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir (Dean FET/Director ORIC), Dr. Ihsan ul Haq (Chairman DECE), and Dr. Baber Khan (Incharge Engineering Technology Programs, DECE).

During the visit, the team thoroughly reviewed program details and inspected the available facilities. They also held interactive sessions with faculty members and students of the respective programs. Additionally, the team met with various administrative departments and had a formal meeting with Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman (Vice President Academics /Administration & Finance).

 

The NTC delegation appreciated the initiative of launching new Engineering Technology programs in emerging and trending fields and expressed satisfaction with the facilities and infrastructure at IIUI. They assured their full support for the successful continuation of these programs.

The DECE team expressed strong commitment and enthusiasm to run these programs effectively, with high morale and dedication.
