Four IIUI Alumni Conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on Independence Day

Islamabad: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has congratulated its alumni who were conferred the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s 78th Independence Day in recognition of their services to the nation.

Kamran Adil, DIG (LLB Shariah & Law, 2000), received the award for his work in collecting evidence of war crimes committed by India during the May conflict under International Criminal Law and rules of evidence.

Shahid Imran Marth, Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura (LLB Shariah & Law, 2002), was honoured for his role in safeguarding state installations and managing administrative affairs during the war against India.

Muhammad Hasan Iqbal, District Police Officer Bahawalpur (BSc Hons CS, 1998), was recognized for his services in law enforcement and community safety, while Zaighum Nawaz, Director Civil Defense Punjab (MBA IT 2002–2005, MS English 2006–2008), was acknowledged for his contributions in the field of civil defense.

President IIUI, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed, extended heartfelt felicitations to the award recipients, terming their achievements a matter of honour for the institution. They noted that such recognition not only reflects the commitment and distinction with which IIUI graduates serve the nation, but also brings pride and prestige to the university at both national and international levels.
