The 8th meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Vice President (Research and Enterprise), IIUI.
Convened in the Council Hall of the Administration Block, the meeting brought together prominent members of the BASR, including Deans from various faculties and external academic experts.
During the session, the board conducted a comprehensive review and evaluation of research synopses submitted by students from multiple faculties. These included the International Institute of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Usuluddin (Islamic Studies), Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Languages and Literature, and Faculty of Arabic.
Following detailed deliberations, the board issued a series of recommendations and directives aimed at maintaining high standards in research and ensuring academic integrity across disciplines.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed emphasized the importance of quality research, urging faculty members and students alike to strictly follow academic protocols. He reiterated the university’s unwavering commitment to promoting excellence in postgraduate studies and research.
